Helping You Navigate Life’s Transitions, Relationships, and Healing
Welcome to Riverkin, where we provide a warm, supportive space where you can explore life’s challenges with curiosity and care. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, facing changes or simply seeking deeper understanding, therapy can offer a path forward. You don’t have to do it alone.
We take a flexible, responsive approach to therapy—drawing from relational, somatic, and research-informed practices. We will focus on what is meaningful for you, including the connections you have with yourself and others. Our approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and grounded in the latest research on neurobiology, attachment, and emotional well-being. Together, we collaborate, working at your pace to deepen self-understanding, heal past wounds, and create meaningful change.

Who We Work With
No matter your background, you are welcome here. We work with individuals navigating life transitions—such as new parenthood, relationship changes, career shifts, inter-cultural pressures, change of life, or personal reinvention.
We support those working through attachment and intimacy challenges, childhood trauma, and complex relational dynamics. Many of our clients are recovering from trauma, including abuse, PTSD, or significant life events and are exploring meaning, identity, and purpose.
We are affirming of the challenges you face and respectful to your identity. Whether you’re drawn to evidence-based therapy, spiritual work, or a mix of both—we’ll meet you where you are.

Support We Offer
We support people through a wide range of concerns, including relationship challenges, anxiety, burnout, career changes, search for meaning, self-esteem, parenting stress, grief, identity exploration, and cross-cultural pressures.
Our work is especially attuned to the experiences of those navigating emotional overwhelm, disconnection in relationships, and life transitions—such as new parenthood, personal reinvention, or high-responsibility roles. We also support for neurodivergent adults and parents of neurodivergent people.
Some clients come seeking clarity or practical strategies; others are looking for deeper healing, emotional growth, or long-term change. We offer both short-term counselling and longer-term therapy, grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed practice.
See “Services” to learn more about the support we offer.

How We Work
Therapy at Riverkin is a collaborative, supportive process. We work at your pace to deepen self-understanding, heal past wounds, and create meaningful change.
Our work is grounded in the latest research on neurobiology, attachment, and emotional well-being. We focus not just on thoughts, but also on your emotions, body, and relationships—because healing happens through the whole system, not just the mind.
We’re a psychotherapy-based practice. While we work with psychological insight, we don’t take a diagnosis-first or CBT-only approach. Instead, we use trauma-informed, attachment-oriented, and body-aware methods that support deep, lasting change.
Sessions are available online and in Thornbury.
